Congratulations to our photographer Alex Livesey for winning Silver awards in both the Canon Sports Portfolio and Football Portfolio categories at the recent 2020 SJA British Sports Journalism Awards. This year’s awards ceremony took place on 15^th March 2021. Traditionally there would have been more than 600 guests at a gala dinner in central London hosted by Jim Rosenthal but unfortunately, like many other events, this ended up as a virtual awards evening. Nonetheless, the SJA supported by Canon and the National Lottery staged an enjoyable event with the best in sports photography, broadcast and writing recognised for their work. After spending a big part of last year with little or no work Alex has, against the odds, produced a quality portfolio of work once again. Many fellow professional photographers have struggled to find work let alone find a portfolio of work to enter into competitions. We hope that the industry can get back on its feet again and photographers can get working again soon. Well done Alex, we’re very proud of you!
